The most intelligent device. We developed Shelly 1 with an integrated WEB interface for device management and a secure OTA update. You can set your weekly schedules for On/Off without the need of any additional equipment. Shelly 1 knows your location, gives you high security and provides device access control.
Confused about wiring shelly 1. *greetings folks, I am running openhab v2.2 on a Raspberry Pi 3 and trying to connect a light for testing shelly1 device. When I have the shelly1 connect to live and neutral on the power cord and I plug it in and then test the switch in HABPanel I can hear it clicking when I turn it on and off.
Essentially, the Shelly 1 is connected to the permanent supply, so it's always on, regardless of the physical switch. The Shelly is also connected to the physical switch, so it knows when it's been flipped. This means that the light can be turned on and off via an API *and* by the existing light switch! I immediately ordered some.
On the shelly 1 the relay is isolated, it doesn't just send the 120 or 240V AC through to the output like a sonoff does, the shelly 1 has a relay in and a relay out terminal, meaning you can use this to switch low voltage if you want. The shelly 1 is rated to 16 amps.
- 1 is one of the wires between the two switches for "O" - 1 is the other wire between the two switches to connect farther switch and Shelly (than goes to lamp as common for "O") In nutshell: 3 wires + a small one have to be enough. adorobis: your wiring seems to be okay for me, too. However, I am not sure that Shelly accepts "hot" wire.
